Seek for high-quality education to bring up modern genius

9月，金秋时节，天高气爽，利辛一中高二年级部分学科老师在任锋副校长的带领下，本着“探求优质教育资源、向一流大学学习”的精神，叩开名校之门，迈出了探索名校优质教育的第一步。

In September, just the season of cool weather and blue sky, some teachers in Grade Two from Lixin No.1 Middle School, under the leadership of vice principal Ren Feng, set out for Shanghai in order to touch the high-quality education and to learn from some most famous universities in order to serve the students. 

9月16-18日，我校高二年级组部分老师在任校长的带领下，走出校门，奔赴素有“世界掌上明珠”之称的上海，向我国最先进的几所著名高校求教：“如何培养新时代合格的优秀人才”。

From Sep. 16^th to 18^th, Principal Ren, accompanied with several teachers, visited Shanghai, “the pearl in the palm of the world” to learn from some most famous universities on “ how to bring up modern qualified students”.

任校长一行先后拜访了上海交通大学、同济大学、复旦大学，分别受到上海交大招生负责人唐教授、同济大学招生负责人相教授、复旦大学招生负责人顾教授的热情接待。

Principal Ren visited Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University and Fudan University and was welcomed respectively by Professor Tang, Professor Xiang and Professor Gu.

会上，任校长代表利辛一中，简要介绍了我校教育的发展状况，表达了利辛人民对上海的热爱，利辛学子对上海各著名大学的期望。唐教授、相教授、顾教授对利辛一中的来访表示热情的欢迎，分别向我校学习人员介绍了上海交大、同济大学、复旦大学的发展历程、著名校友、卓越贡献及未来的发展规划，着重介绍了各校“自主招生”、“校长举荐生”、“贫困地区学生助学指导”等等之政策及规划。各位教授对利辛一中的发展给予高度评价，对利辛一中探求培育优质人才的愿望给予肯定和鼓励，对利辛一中能够有更多的优秀学子进入上海名校学习充满期待。各位教授表示将进一步关注利辛一中的教育发展，并利用有利时机亲赴我校指导。

In the meeting, Principal Ren, on behalf of Lixin No.1 Middle School, introduced briefly the situation of our school’s education, expressed our people’s love for Shanghai and spoke out our students’ admiration for the universities in Shanghai. Professor Tang, Xiang and Gu greeted the visitors and showed the grand history of Jiaoda, Tongji and Fudan as well as their famous students, super contributions and their plans for the future. They explained patiently the policy and the long-term planning on the independent recruitment (自主招生) , the nominations from the headmasters(校长举荐生) and the instruction on assisting the students from the districts in poverty. All the professors sang high praises for the development of Lixin No.1 Middle School, encouraged Lixin’s efforts on “bringing up modern genius” and hoped that more and more students from Lixin No.1 Middle school can be admitted into universities in Shanghai.

任校长表示：“上海之行收获甚丰，以后我们将加强向发达地区优质高校的学习，争取向一流高校靠拢，使得我校的教学逐步接近并达到这些高校所要求的人才标准。”

Principal Ren stated that we got harvest in visiting Shanghai and that we should keep on trying this way to strengthen our relationship with the universities, to narrow our gap with them and at last to keep up with their requirement.
